Sixth-Form

Whickham School is proud to have one of the highest performing Sixth forms in the North East of England. We attract over 370 students and offer an extensive curriculum, with over 35 courses on offer. Students follow a mixture of high quality A-level and Btec courses that provide pathways that enable them to progress to higher education and beyond. In 2012, 53% of grades were A*/A/ B. Students enrich their learning with participation in a range of extra-curricular activities, leadership opportunities and trips, including recent visits to New York, Iceland and Mexico. Our students are also rightly proud of their commitment to charities, with an annual charity week that raises thousands of pounds for important causes.
