Examination Information 2023/24

Summer 2024 – Examination series

All students must be available for their examinations, and in addition, for the following contingency dates:

  • 6 June (afternoon)
  • 13 June (afternoon)
  • 26 June (all day)

Based on provisional entries no students are required for written examination purposes beyond 26 June 2024. In additional to this students must ensure any vocational course requirements have been completed.

Results days – 2023/24

Results will be issued on the following dates:

  • November examinations – Thursday 11 January 2024 from 8.45am
  • January examinations – Thursday 21 March 2024 from 8.45am
  • Level 3 (Sixth Form) – Thursday 15 August from 8am
  • Level 2 – Thursday 22 August from 9am

Students will receive further information about results arrangements via email.

Support for students

  • Preparing properly for exams always results in a stronger performance. OCR have produced a student friendly guide.
  • Examinations can be stressful and difficult times. OfQual has produced a guide for students on how to cope with examination pressure.
  • They have also released advice for students feeling stressed about results day in August.
  • Parents/Carers may wish to read an article on exam stress written from a student perspective.
  • Illness- JCQ Self Certification Form must be completed by students who have missed an exam and handed to Mrs Crabtree.

Examination Information 2023/24

In order to comply with JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) regulations, all exam candidates must read and be aware of the information contained in the following documents before the start of their exams.

Students are required to comply with all JCQ examination regulations or risk being investigated for malpractice and disqualified. A checklist of key reminders is displayed outside every examination room. Technological devices (with the exception of permitted calculators) are not permitted inside the examination room.
