Sixth Form Bridging Units
We realise that moving from GCSEs to A-Levels and BTECs is a big step and the bridging unit materials will help you make that transition to the higher level and more independent study that we expect at Whickham Sixth. You should complete the bridging units over the Summer – they will give you an idea of the kind of content you will be studying over the next two years, the confidence to make the transition to Sixth Form and they’ll give you a firm foundation upon which to build in September.
All students are required to complete the bridging units in their chosen subjects before starting Sixth Form. You will need to bring all completed units to your first lessons in Sixth Form.
These units are currently being updated for each subject and will be shared with you during the Sixth Form Taster Day.
