We are looking to appoint a passionate, motivated and committed Progress Hub Leader to lead on our achievement provision. Our progress hub is separate to our behaviour support unit and works with pupils who are temporarily unable to attend normal lessons (e.g. due to SEND needs, or on a temporary basis due to injury).   At Whickham, inclusion and achievement are not just buzzwords – they are at the heart of everything we do. We set high expectations for all pupils, including those who are disadvantaged, have SEND, or may face other barriers to learning or wellbeing. Our students do not just achieve; they succeed and go on to thrive, gaining outcomes that prepare them for the next stage of their lives.   The core purpose of this role is to:
  • To support vulnerable pupils in achieving the best possible outcomes by leading and managing our Progress Hub, working closely with pupils, parents/carers and the wider staff team.
  • To support the wider achievement team in leading homework clubs, morning and after school tuition programmes and with external and mock examinations.
Further details can be found in the Job Advert, Job Description and Personal Specification   We actively encourage visits. Contact Phillip Wheatley (Senior Deputy Headetacher) at pwheatley@whichkhamschool.org  to arrange a time that works for you or to discuss the role further. Application Forms should be submitted to recruitment@whickhamschool.org by 9am on Monday 29th June, with interviews scheduled for Friday 3rd or Monday 6th July.
