We are looking for a confident and proactive
BIS Support Officer to join our Behaviour and Inclusion Support (BIS) team.
This is a hands-on pastoral role working directly with pupils who may be experiencing barriers to learning due behaviour, attendance, engagement or other issues. You will manage an identified caseload of pupils, provide regular mentoring and targeted interventions, and build positive relationships with pupils and their families to help them make positive and sustained progress.
Working closely with our Senior Pastoral Leader, Pastoral Leaders and wider school team, you will support pupils within Behaviour and Inclusion Support and help ensure concerns are identified, followed up and acted upon.
The ideal candidate will be:
- confident working with young people,
- able to build strong relationships while maintaining clear boundaries
- comfortable dealing with challenging situations calmly and consistently
- proactive, use your initiative and take ownership of your caseload rather than waiting to be directed
