First Aid

First Aid at Whickham

First aid is the help and assistance given to someone who is injured or who has taken ill. The role of a first aider is to calm the individual and assess their needs. They then provide them with the initial help they need.

At Whickham School we have a vast number of staff trained in First Aid and Mental Health First Aid to keep students and staff safe. A member of staff is allocated to first aid support each lesson and pastoral staff are on hand throughout the day.
