Whickham School and Sports College (Academy Trust) currently offer their excellent facilities to local clubs and members of public on evenings, weekends, and school holidays.

Opened in 2005, Whickham School Sports Centre boasts and array of spacious sand based astro turf pitches which are all floodlit as well as four floodlit tarmac tennis courts. All of the outdoor facilities are located directly outside of the Sports Centre building where the changing and toilet facilities are available.

A large Sports Hall, Gymnasium, Dance Studio, Main School Hall and a variety of school classrooms are also available to rent all year round.

Whickham School Sports Centre currently holds partnerships with several local sporting teams and clubs such as Gateshead Basketball Club, Blaydon Tennis Club, Gateshead Hockey Club and Whickham Fellside Youth Football Club. Whickham School Sports Centre work in close partnership with these clubs to provide facilities which can be used for both training and competitive matches.

A variety of other companies run their business from our facilities.
