Our annual prize – giving evening was once again a major suceess. The evening opened with a superb performance by the school band, who responded superbly to the orchestartion of our new Director of Music, Mr Griffiths. After only two rehearsals together, they were able to stage a rousing performance.
Students past and present returned to receive an array of awards that was testament top the vast range of academic, vocational and extra curricular achievement that students achieve at Whickham School.
Our Guest of |Honour was Michael Heppell, a motivational speaker who animated our prize-winners and the audience with a dynamic speech and perforamnce that dared us all to be brilliant. His optimistic outlook, energy and drive were a fitting compliment to a night celebrating success.
