Whickham School Charity Week

Whickham School Charity Week is an event that is held every year, and is run by the 6th Form students themselves. We have a strong tradition of raising funds for a range of important causes. This year, we are raising money for a charity called Action Duchenne. Action Duchenne is a charity that helps people affected by Muscular Dystrophy, as well as funding research into a cure. Muscular Dystrophy is a condition that affects the muscles. Children affected by the condition often require a wheel chair by the age of 10.

For more information please visit the Muscular Dystrophy website:
http://www.actionduchenne.org/

Assemblies are being held throughout the week beginning 13th October to inform students about the charity and to show them how they can support us by attending events and participating in a range of activities.

A full programme of events will be published to show parents and students how they can support our fund-raising activities.
