The school library became the focus for more creativity once again with an African drumming workshop led by Arts Isiziba. Three groups of year 8 students experienced a performance by the workshop leader, Fanuel, from Zimbabwe.
He provided fascinating stories that described how each rhythm had developed. Each student was then given his or her own drum and the opportunity to play and perform their own rhythms.
Students thoroughly enjoyed the illuminating and expressive experience that added to the multi-cultural arts activities provided by Mrs Dollan and Mrs Howells.
