Whickham School has gained the Healthy School Award, for its efforts to improve the health of our students, for the last four years.
We believe by promoting health issues we can improve pupil achievement and both the physical and social environment of the school. The Healthy School Award monitors the following areas:

6 Healthy Eating
7 Physical Activities
8 Emotional Health and Well Being
9 Community Health
10 A whole school health promoting initiative - this year was the School Travel Plan. We were granted over £13,000 to provide cycle storage.
